Born from the belief that no one should be left behind, EqualWings Foundation works at the intersection of gender equality, health, human rights, and youth leadership — turning grassroots action into lasting systemic change.
Who We Are
A world where every individual — regardless of gender, background, or circumstance — enjoys full equality, inherent dignity, access to quality health, personal safety, leadership opportunity, and the absolute freedom to realize their fullest potential.
To empower communities through education, innovation, advocacy, research, and technology — advancing gender equality, sexual and reproductive health rights, inclusive development, and climate-conscious leadership for a generation ready to lead change.
EqualWings Foundation is a registered Section 8 Not-for-Profit Company under the Companies Act, recognized by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. Every contribution we receive goes directly toward programs that uplift the communities we serve.
Our Motto
"Equal Rights. Equal Opportunities. Equal Wings."
We don't just believe in a better world — we build it, every day, from the ground up.
What We Work On
We work across intersecting social issues because true equality cannot be achieved in silos.
Challenging systemic barriers that prevent women and girls from fully participating in education, leadership, and civic life.
Advocating for sexual and reproductive health rights, ensuring every person has access to information, care, and the right to make decisions about their own body.
Breaking taboos and ensuring access to menstrual hygiene products and education, because period poverty must never stop a girl from going to school.
Driving community-level campaigns and legal awareness programs to end child marriage and dowry practices that harm women and families.
Educating vulnerable communities and supporting survivors — because every person deserves to live free from exploitation.
Equipping young people — especially girls from marginalized communities — with the skills, confidence, and tools to lead the future.
Mobilizing youth for road safety awareness campaigns to prevent accidents and build safer communities for everyone.
Centering the voices of frontline youth and women in the climate conversation, fostering sustainable community-led solutions.
Nurturing the next generation of changemakers through mentorship, fellowships, and platforms that amplify young voices at every level.
Project BioBloom
Supported by Women Win, The Netherlands
Project BioBloom is our flagship initiative — and one of our proudest partnerships. Backed by Women Win (The Netherlands), BioBloom focuses on the triad of bodily autonomy, sexual & reproductive health rights (SRHR), and menstrual health & hygiene for adolescent girls and young women in underserved communities across India.
Through BioBloom, we create safe spaces for open conversation, distribute menstrual health resources, and train community health champions — because every girl deserves to bloom on her own terms, in her own time.
Our Impact in Numbers

Workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns conducted
Across digital campaigns, talks, and advocacy outreach

A Journey That Began at 11
Dr. Jahnavi is not a typical young leader — she is a force. Her journey into social change began at the age of 11, driven by an unshakeable belief that every girl deserves dignity, education, and the freedom to dream. By the time she was 14, she had founded Girl Up CHIKKA under the United Nations Foundation, creating a grassroots platform for adolescent girls to discover their power.
Her path has been paved with extraordinary milestones. At 17, she received an honorary doctorate — a testament to the depth and impact of her social work. She went on to be recognized as an Ashoka Young Changemaker (2024), join Forbes India's prestigious "We Serve India" Regional Awardees (2025), and earn global platforms as a TEDx and Josh Talks speaker.
On the world stage, Jahnavi serves as the SRHR Lead of the Commonwealth Youth Council (UK), representing millions of young people across the Commonwealth on the critical issues of sexual and reproductive health rights.
At home, she has been personally invited by the President of India to Rashtrapati Bhavan and was recognized under the Swachh Bharat Mission by the Prime Minister — acknowledgments of the real, on-the-ground change she has created for over 75,000 girls and women across India.
Jahnavi is also Miss Teen India 2022, an international documentary actor, and a theatre artist who uses the performing arts as a powerful vehicle for social storytelling and transformation. For her, every stage — whether a conference hall, a village school, or a theatre — is an opportunity to amplify voices that the world needs to hear.
From Volunteer to Visionary
Pooja Kumari's story is proof that the most powerful changemakers are often those who have lived the very challenges they choose to fight. Growing up in an underprivileged community, Pooja did not wait for opportunity to find her — she went out and built it herself.
She began her journey with EqualWings Foundation as a dedicated ground volunteer, spending years doing the quiet, relentless, essential work that sits at the very heart of grassroots transformation — going door to door, organizing awareness sessions, and standing alongside the community women she served.
Her commitment, empathy, and natural leadership did not go unnoticed. Over time, her hands-on experience and deep understanding of the communities EqualWings serves made her the natural choice to step into the role of Director. Today, Pooja brings that same ground-level authenticity to every strategic decision she makes.
Her lived experience is not a limitation — it is her greatest strength. Pooja leads with the conviction that real change is built from within communities, by the people who belong to them. She is a reminder to every young person from a marginalized background that your beginnings do not define your ceiling, and that purpose, persistence, and passion can take you all the way to the top.
